During the seismic survey we discovered that the work of electromagnetic sources attracts flamingos. The birds act as natural receivers (geophones). Flamingos helped geologists identify the location of the natural resource accumulation, thereby contributing to finding of oil in well.

This suggests that it is necessary to pay close attention to the behavior of flamingo in the context of the search for new deposits. Ornithological study can be an addition to geophysical exploration methods such as radiometric, electrical and magnetic analysis.
